In the midst of nonstop LAN parties and huge gaming tournaments, we found ourselves with DreamHack, the largest digital festival in the world. We showcased Amelia’s Curse once again, which has grown since its debut at SXSW during the previous month.
What changed since SXSW, might you ask? Our map has been revamped with ominous dungeon textures, the weapon purchasing system has been enhanced for ease and realism, and there are multiple rooms that you can explore. In addition, we’re in the process of finishing our monster for the game (see the above picture). These have been exciting changes for us and the game as Amelia’s Curse continues development.
One aspect of these exhibitions that we’ve found very interesting is observing how people behave when playing our game. For example, some people defaulted to hovering above weapons instead of grabbing them for purchase. There are little details everywhere, but each gives us another opportunity to polish the game even further for players. That’s why we strive to continue attending these conventions. Next up, we’ll be at A-Kon at Fort Worth, Texas in June. Hope to see you all there!
