The fitness industry has seen a recent surge in growth and demand. In the United States alone, the market size has increased from $67.19 billion in 2009 to $83.15 billion in 2016. The industry can expect higher adoption and retention for fitness clubs, but what if you can take fitness to the next level of convenience and affordability? Fortunately, our team at Immosis is working on the answer. Similarly to how Blue Apron and HelloFresh delivers food and recipes straight to your home, Immosis plans to disrupt the fitness industry by delivering immersive fitness experiences to the comfort of your own home.
The average person is supposed to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day while anyone looking to lose weight or bulk up should develop specific fitness plans. By regularly exercising, people can expect to feel happier, lose weight, increase energy levels, and reduce the risk for chronic health diseases. However, we recognize that making the routine trip to the gym can be inconvenient for some people, and that getting a private trainer typically costs at least $60/hour. To address that pain-point, Immosis has been in the process of developing AR Trainer, an augmented reality mobile app that combines goal tracking with scalable and guided workout plans.

AR Trainer is one of the leading innovations for the fitness industry. Through the use of motion capture technology, ARKit, and Unity, Immosis has built a working prototype that utilizes recorded fitness techniques and tutorials to let the user have a real-time interactive experience with the 3D fitness trainer. And of course, users can switch between workout animations with ease.

So instead of having to drive to a gym or spend at least $60/hour on a private trainer, users can leverage AR Trainer as a convenient and affordable way to get their daily workouts in. This preserves schedule flexibility and empowers users to do more with their time.
AR Trainer is still in a very early stage, but as our team continues to experiment with the app, we aim to apply the same innovative mindset towards other high-potential industries. If you would like to discuss the possibilities for your business, we welcome you to reach out at [email protected]
